Crampton Wood Craft was born from a legacy of craftsmanship rooted in my childhood. Both of my grandfathers were skilled makers who built their own homes, one of which remains a cherished family residence today. Their ingenuity and hands-on approach were passed down to my father, a resourceful problem-solver who could create or repair anything with the materials at hand. Growing up, we prioritized making over buying, instilling in me a deep sense of pride and accomplishment in crafting something with my own hands.

This passion for creation carried into adulthood. While pursuing a career in law enforcement, woodworking became a vital creative outlet and source of stress relief. Initially, my projects were personal, limited to home repairs and creations. However, a pivotal moment came when a colleague admired one of my pieces and asked where I had purchased it. When I explained that I had made it myself, his enthusiastic offer to buy one sparked the beginning of Crampton Wood Craft.

Starting with a few hand tools and inherited knowledge, I began crafting wood products for others. Over time, my garage—now proudly called my shop—evolved with the addition of a wood CNC machine and a laser, unlocking endless creative possibilities. Every piece is crafted with care right here in the USA. While our small-batch production may not match the speed of mass retailers, each purchase supports a small business and helps sustain another family.

At Crampton Wood Craft, I am deeply passionate about woodworking and take immense pride in the God given talent that fuels every creation. All the glory belongs to the Lord as He is the One who has planted the maker seed and allowed it to blossom into what it is today.
